Ma Belle Mère...

...kindly gave me a bundle of Cath Kidson patchwork fabrics for my birthday. They have sat quietly in the armoire in the hallway for a couple of months, patiently waiting for a burst of creative energy...

...and that moment has arrived! No longer is it a bundle of fat quarters ( term for a specific size area of fabric, not referring to my rear!), but behold, 38 children's bibs, and 10 glasses/ pencil cases! All in time for Christmas markets....

The bibs are interfaced with a thick cotton to aid soaking up spills, and are fully reversible ( rear sides are co-ordinated in gingham or checks) and are 6.50€ each. The glasses cases are also nicely padded, close with a magnetic fastener and have a decorative button to finish ( naturally Cath Kidson as well!) There are just 10 glasses cases, all different, so for buying purposes I have laid them out in 2 rows of 5, let's number them 1-10, and I have photographed the set from all 3 sides to show the fabric variations. These are 8.50€ each. Worldwide postage possible.
Praise be to mother in laws! X

Christmas tree?

I've been busy getting things finished for all the up-coming Christmas markets, and stumbled across a vintage bottle drying rack at a local vide grenier. It cleaned up well, sprayed silver and is now filled to the brim with lavender filled keyrings and tassles, it looks almost like a mini Christmas tree. All I need now is a fairy for the top!
(Keyrings are 3€ each)

Prices and sizes vary slightly. ( Postage to UK is possible.) All are fully lined, with 2 internal pockets, and closed with a magnetic fastener. Drop me a note if you are interested in any in particular. I have loads more photos....And onto the next.....

Bienvenue...

Welcome to our new French friends! In an attempt to be more European , I am going to try to post some of my comments in French now and again! (with the help of Google translate, and much to the amusement of my unsupportive children!) Please excuse the inevitable mistakes, and bear with me along this journey!

French birds!

Ooh La La!!! These lovely French chickens have been rehomed to a French lady up the road, who asked for Tricolour birds made from vintage torchons and kitchen linens. I particularly liked "no 161" in the corner! Others are available, £16 ea...ch, plus £3.50 postage to the uk. For ease of delivery they will come un filled, but with a handy hidden zip, you would just need to fill with sand, rice or a mixture of wheat and French lavender like these 3. A bag of dried lavender can be supplied at a nominal fee, and then be mixed with a heavier filling of your choice. Each bird is 25cm x 25cm and weighs about 1.5kg when full, so plenty large enough to keep the heaviest doors open.
